| Tamiya S-Dime
Badger talked me into getting a Tamiya S-10, so I got it and finally had a chance to put it together. This thing looks awsome! I love the wheels and tires, they are by far my favorite part. I am waiting on a speed control and a radio for it, so I haven't had a chance to drive it yet. Right now it is 100% stock, except I put a lathe motor in it. Yesterday I bought a 16 tooth pinion for it, which without mods is the smallest you can run, (it came with a 17 tooth) I also plan to lock the rear axle only, and install a winch on the front of it. Here are some poser shots. |

Looks great! I just got the F-150 version of the truck and love it! Not much flex but a fun truck to drive. I'm thinking about locking the axles soon.

I plan on just locking the rear, just to make it more fun and challenging. Just a change of pace. PWT I use a Minolta digicam, These images were resized and compressed quite a bit the originals look 10X better. Yes I will have it at the event this week end. |

Yea I've seen them. I know how well they work, I have a Pajero that can do some pretty impressive stuff. But they are severely limited by their approach angle and smaller tires. | |

Cool Jason, I plan on getting a Touareg and looking the rear and just playing around with it. It will be SO easy to find challenging trails to drive it on.

I have the f-150 version and let me tell ya. When only the rear is locked and the front diff action is limited, these are suprisingly nimble. And can get into areas the bigger trucks can only drop a tire into. And yeah the low ground clearence can make it a hand-full, but that is the challenge. Looks good Jason, run it hard.

There was a vid rbgerrish made of "Spring Park" I think it was, that ended with several minutes of a Toureg and Hummer going head to head on some pretty darn difficult stuff. I especially liked it at the end when they were doing donuts and stuff, launching off the rocks.......they're dual purpose! |
