Most people in the club doubted that a TLT axled rig could compete with the axials!! Any opinions or thoughts are welcome, can't decide if I sould stay with the current setup (just tear it down, clean, replace, rebuild) or go with a new set of axles and new chassis? Beckworks Cobra Delrin tlt housings cvd front straight axle rear 45 turn (Krazed Builds "Team" motor) MSD's front proline rears homemade links, link mounts, shock mounts, servo plates Thanks, Curt |

I would keep the axles (there is nothing wrong with the TLTs and switching to Axials wouldnt make much of a difference), but would look at a different chassis with a lower CG. If you are winning the comps, then it seems like the crawler/driver are both working quite well!

TLT axles are the best 2.2 Shafty axles IMO... so keep the axles! And as previously stated, a chassis with a lower Cog, more shock mounting options (to help fight torque twist) could really make that thing alot more "competitive"... that is unless you're fine with the current setup I think that just about any RC can win comps, as long as the driver knows the truck! |
