Hey welcome to RCC. Your swamp dawgs are trimmed?? What part is trimmed?

Anyway, I hope you can get it up and running soon.

Thanks

Yes, I did trim the Swamp Dawgs a little, but its not shown in the pics. I slotted each tread and cut some sections out of select treads.

I just ordered a brand new Dell to replace my old computer that runs on windows 95, so it might be a little longer before I get it running.

That thing is CLEAN! Looks like a show truck you see in the magazines! I like the silver/red theme throughout. Nice job!

I just picked up a set of swamp dawgs myself... Why I couldn't have waited those two weeks to get these I don't know... I love them! Anyway, have fun with your new computer! I have the gaming bug as much as I do the RC.

Ran it today. Did awesome.

I approached a rock that was vertical for about 5in (taller than the tires). It went right up it with no problems. But, on the next obsticle after that, I stripped the front ring gear. After that, It did pretty well in 2wd, but there was some parts where 4WD would have helped.

Power- Not bad. The motor is a Peak Jaguar 23x1 (only cost $15). Runtime is at 30mins. There is no reverse, I'll have to find a way to program the esc.

Gears- With the exception of the front ring gear, everything held up fine. It was loud though, thanks to the all metal driveline. The gear reduction was perfectly suited to this truck. It goes about a slow jogging speed.

Suspension- Nice. It flexed when it needed to and didn't when it didn't have to. Wasn't too soft or too hard.

Steering- Turning radius is about 8-10 feet. I'll find a way to get more steering.

Tires- They conformed nicely to the rocks, but could use more traction as the rear tires were spinning a lot. I'll cut every other tread out.

Body- held up fine, could use support at the front, it was flopping around too much

Clearence- Could use more below the diffs. The rear axle got hung up a few times, but again, 4wd would have helped that.
