First crawl Ive had first "real" crawl i mean i went to a place where was like couple of stone made steps with 1 meter of grass between each, it wasnt tall like 30-40 cm of height, and it was great fun. http://img64.exs.cx/img64/7033/IM598.jpg http://img53.exs.cx/img53/630/IM000596.jpg http://img53.exs.cx/img53/2711/IM000595.jpg these are first pics that are not posed, it crawled there, i know its not much of serious crawling but it was fun, effect broken servo horn, bent servo mount ( the one i made :D), i was running on cheap nikko 9,6 V battery 650 mAh, and got about 25-30 minutes of running, it was great, now i have to make new servo mounts, the stock ones suck and the servo slides from side to side in them. Any help in making a good servo mount? |
Re: First crawl nobody has any idea on "better" servo mount? Now ive installed stock bumper/skid plate/ servo mount and servo slides in it like crazy, wheels dont turn but servo slides from side to side |
Re: First crawl There's an entire thread of servo mounts. I'd also recommend zip tying your servo wires to an upper link. That way they are protected from rollovers and stuff. http://www.rccrawler.com/postt1083.html Check it out and fab away. Badgers latest creation seems to work very well. Oh and I like how your drag link is not even attached in the top two pics. |
Re: First crawl yea thats the time when i broke servo horn, i drove in this position with no steering :D and ill try that with servo wire, and also try to fab some nice servo mount, now ive put old mount, but behind stock bumper so its nicly secured |
