Actually, the Clodbuster has the smaller notches on the rims. The TXT-1 rims notches are probably twice the size of the Clods.

The rims are the same size, and so are the tires.

So has anyone had probs with them breaking or stripping?
seems like to me that the TXT wheel would be stronger

Personally I have never stripped out any of my rims mounting notches. I have however stripped out the Plastic hubs before, when I didn't let off the throttle after the wheels got wedged between some rocks.

Is the hex and spline on the shaft the same in both?

I am trying to figure out why all the clod wheels at RC4WD say that to run on a TXT you must buy clod axle shafts???

The outer axleshaft on a TXT is longer than a Clod. Recently we tried putting a set of Maxx wheel adapters for a clod on a TXT. We found that the TXT stub (outer) shaft was longer and did not allow the wheel nut to be tightened all the way.
I am not sure but I think that if you put Clod wheels on a TXT the wheel nut will not tighten all the way. The brass hexes are both 12mm.

I believe it's because clod shafts are a tad shorter. If you were to put just the discs on with a clod wheel and TXT axles, the nut will tighten down before it touches the wheel, leaving it wobbly.

OK so if I bought those beadlocks from RC4WD then I would have to get clod outer shafts and those plastic spacer deals inbetween the wheels and the hex?
