Default 2.2 TXT torsion with dig

Well here is my try at a 2.2 torsion with dig, I prefer a 4link, but this was cheap and easy, and I will run it in at least one comp to see if I like it or not. Redrocks are for bashing only as they make the truck 12 3/4" wide

Specs
R2
new V10 55t motor
revo shafts
5995tg steering servo, chickenbutt dig servo
Mamba Max
XS3
Aluminum knuckles
Music wire chassis
Narrowed on the outside rear pede rims
Ho Bao tires
Wheelbase 12.5"
Width outside of tire to outside of tire 11.5"
Width between tires 6"
Old pede body
Articulation 4" under the tire

Thanks, it was very easy to do, we'll see how it does at our next comp on the 10th. I need to get used to how it drives, very different than the 4links I'm used to.

How much did it cost as a roller? I want it! It was sitting like a pimp at the GTG!

Axles $200
R2 $80
wheels/tires $60
chassis $6.50
Driveshafts $25
That doesn't include the motor, esc, servos, radio gear.

I got a good deal on the axles, seeing as how they cost $360 new, for the kit.

Ok, did some tweaking and now this thing crawls really well. I put narrowed on the outside pede rims with minigianttracs on, and ended up with 11.75" outside to outside. Outside of rims is 10.75". 6.25" between the tires. Front tires are 3/4 full of airsoft bb's, rear tires with rear buggy foams. Moved the mamba max to the front axle, and installed the 5995, and my new 15amp constant, 30amp peak MPI voltage regulator. Intalled the new V10 handwound 55t turn lathe and geared down to a 13t pinion. Plenty of wheelspeed and torque, I am going to go down to a 12t and order an 11t pinion. Slammed the body some more. I've got almost 45* of articulation now, and am a lot happier than before.

It is 12.5" wheelbase, to fit the 2.2 comp rules. I am using traxxas Revo shafts.

OK, the boss went skiing yesterday, so I got off early and did some crawling. All shots were driven, no poser shots. The mamba max dragbrake makes taking pics a breeze, holds your truck anywhere while you snap. The dark stuff on the rocks is moss, traction would be even better if it didn't have moss.

Default Update-3-25-07

Well, I changed my chassis to a pimpcane(thanks run2jeepn, for this awesome product). I now have almost 4" of center clearance compared to 2.5" with the previous chassis. This chassis also works a lot better than the other, in my opinion. I also added knuckle battery packs to the rear knuckles. This thing crawls great now. I still need to cut off the excess chassis at the rear of the truck.

Here's a link to a short vid I took today with my truck and my buddy's.
