Default Gd 600 ?

Yea more questions on the GD600....

What pitch is the gear on the GD? is it 32 like normal or will i need to get a diffrent pitch pinion for it? And what is the best size to run? I heard 9t on the motor and 15t on the GD. Also How hard is it to rotate so the motor is at the bottom?

it somes with an 18 t ( 48 pitch pinion) to run on the motor to the 600 shaft. then run a 12t pinion(32 pitch) to a 72 spur gear.. that will give ya right about 110:1 crawl; ratio and works great ( thats the setup i run)

its not hard to rotate the setup, just figure out where and drill holes. you will need to make a longer hole though so you have some type of adjustement for gear mesh

Stock TXT pinions are 15 tooth, not sure about the spur.

I run the 2.5:1 GD600 on my TXT, 18T on the motor/15T on the GD600. Put's me at 85:1 final gear ratio. Wouldn't hurt if it was a little bit lower. I like the wheel speed, tho. ;)

Correct, the 18t 48p pinion that comes with a GD-600 will bolt on to your motor. The 15t 32p stock TXT pinion will mount on the GD's output shaft.

Off the top of my head, I think the stock TXT spur gear is 40t.

Smile pinions

I would replace the stock aluminium pinion with a steel one for longer lasting performance.... the aluminium pinions tend to wear quickly and become noisy
Robinson and Traxxas make steel 32p pinions
