Default I.D. tires and size wheels on this CC01

Hello CC01 fans. I'm going to be building a CC01 Pajero. I have some hot racing stuff coming, Junfac skid plate and rear link, front skid plate and bearings. However, I need help identifying the size of these wheels and the type of tires this pajero is using. Please let me know asap. Thanks in advance!

The rims are the Heavy Duty 8 spokes from China and the tires appear to be RC4WD Rock Creepers, but with all that mud it makes it difficult to be sure.

Those are 1.9" wheels and tires? 1.9" will fit the pajero?

There are 2 versions of the Pajero, not sure which you have.

This one has 2.1 wheels and tires

This one has 1.9's

Good choice. That comes with the 1.9 rims and tires as pictured. I have seen these with 1.55's and they look more scale, IMO. There are quite a few options for that body also.

58 willys, so a 3.8" tall tire will work with the pajero body?

What I have coming for it is a junfac bottom skid plate and 4-link update, yeah racing front universals, aluminum motor mount, and front and rear upper shock mounts, hot racing bulkhead front arm plate, arms and steering assembly. I also have fast eddy bearings coming, and the front skid plate like the 1 in the video. I'm also going to use the hitec HS5646wp servo for the steering duties. Now im trying to decide on whether to use the speed control that comes with the truck and go brushless or just stay brushed. I have a axial AE-5 ESC so I can run lipo upto 3s on that. As opposed being only able to run 2s lipo on the Tamiya controller. Then the decision is to choose a decent motor that's up to the task. Then lastly figure out how to get a lipo to work in this truck or run a nimh pack. I think im off to a good start anyways....Suggestions are welcome.

Looks like you've got it goin on, but you should also upgrade the steering system with the GPM kit or similar. The kit steering is very sloppy. I would also replace any of the ball ends and brass balls, with Traxxas ball ends(#1942). It really improves the steering along with the upgrade.

3.8" tires should work, but 3.6-3.7 would be better. 1.55's will get you there too, and there are a few tires that are in the 3.6-3.8 range. A little lift would be wise.

Also, these little rigs are geared kinda high, so if your looking to crawl with it, you'll want a high turn motor, maybe a 55 or 65. If you want to go fast, try out the stock kit motor first, then go from there. It's a free motor and ESC. I like to use what it came with just to see how the suspension mods and drive train react, then upgrade for the performance level I want.

Try google images, and you should see many variations from builders that have done alot of mods to their CC01's.

There is a ton of info here...

The picture archive at the top of this section, may yield ideas for you also. I know alot of the pics have been killed by Photo Bucket, but there's still a few to look at.

Hope that helps.

Hot racing steering parts is what I went with. I'll check into the traxxas rod ends. I've been reading all about this little truck.

I think the Hot Racing is the better one.

Yeah I think that's what I found out from my research. Now can you tell me from the video does he have a body or suspension lift on this truck? I'm making mine kinda look like his....also what's the story with the battery fitment in these trucks? ie lipo or nimh

As far as a lift, I can't really tell. If you're not using the stock mounting system, then you can fab it up, how ever you like. I would keep the body mounts stock, and try for a mild suspension lift, around a 1/4" should be good. Read through some of the builds...that will show you a lot of different ways to do it.

The chassis is designed to fit the traditional 6 cell nimh, but lipos are smaller for the same capacity. I would stick with 2s and find one that would fit the battery compartment. There are many other options for larger batteries if you don't have an interior.

Good luck.

58 Willy's, I was and to get a hold of the owner through facebook. You were spot on about the tires and wheels. Also he did a body lift for clearance to the tires. He also says that he didn't shave the body for clearence. The truck is running stock shocks. He did do a MOD to move the servo to front of chassis and he is also running a 35turn motor on a hpi GRU.

if you're looking to do any real crawling, get a GRU with a 27-35T motor, also make sure you run a good 4 link out back.
