First thread, it's mine Tech in a sec, just want to make the first thread mine Fj cruiser procar 33 esc jrh og outunner gd 600 reduction hl tires fj cruiser body. Pics in a bit, photobucket is down for me.. |
glad to see that the cc-01 and xc finally got a section! |
Yup, they deserve it since the possibilities for a scale build with these are almost endless"thumbsup", and crapbucket is still down:-( |
this couldnt have come at a better time. i have a project that i have been toying with. i'm not sure what body to use just yet. |
|
How do you like it with a gear reduction unit? May we have a video of it running? I've been wanting to put one of these on mine for a while. |

That's top speed on the video btw, i high centered it a couple times but still managed to get through with some throttle, also if you go with the gd-600, a regular size 540 can won't fit unless you mod the battery tray and then you have to find another place for those stick packs. http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h2...h_MOV02908.jpg |
I added some lights to my fj cruiser, check them out. http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h2...h_MOV00021.jpg |
A couple of pics of the cruiser wheeling with my friends yota, i will have a couple of short vids in a while."thumbsup" http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h2...r/DSC00303.jpg http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h2...r/DSC00302.jpg http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h2...r/DSC00300.jpg |
Looks good! Is that the same Fj you've had for a while? You gonna keep that color or repaint it something different? A few of these FJ/CC01 builds have been popping up and It makes me want to go ahead and get another CC01 so I can put my FJ body on it. |
Yup, same ol' fj:), i haven't used it enough(scratched enough:mrgreen:), but it's gettibg there, i am looking at a dark blue or black for a body color, and thanks for the props"thumbsup" |
A short vid with my friend's yota wiching the fj cruiser"thumbsup" http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h2...h_d8ee9b14.jpg |
Well i hadn't used my fj in a while, so i was looking at it and i decided i would try the "mall crawler" look:mrgreen:, i had some front buggy wheel and some dirt hawgs and decided to give them a try, they are the same height as the previous 1.9 tires on the fj and much stickier, here are some pics of how it looks i'll try to get some vid as soon as i remember to bring back my camera from home:roll:. http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h2...08-09_0908.jpg http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h2...08-09_0909.jpg http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h2...08-09_0910.jpg http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h2...08-09_0911.jpg http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h2...08-09_0912.jpg |
Trail run and a couple of pics http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h2...08-10_1025.jpg http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h2...08-10_1025.jpg http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h2...08-10_1038.jpg http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h2...08-10_1039.jpg http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h2...08-10_1043.jpg http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h2...08-10_1044.jpg My friend's 1:1"thumbsup" http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h2...08-10_1148.jpg |
So i finally got tired of the rear sagging on the fj due to the stock links flexing so badly, and made some aluminum mounts for the new links and shocks, i might try changing the upper links as soon as i test the new configuration, i will now also do the front body lift since the rear is not sagging anymore, and also my Pajero will get the same treatment"thumbsup" http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h2...08-10_1906.jpg http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h2...08-10_1907.jpg http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h2...08-10_1908.jpg http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h2...08-10_1910.jpg http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h2...08-10_0935.jpg http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h2...08-10_0936.jpg http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h2...08-10_0937.jpg |
Street force dogbones, which are a couple mm longers to accomodate the longer distance between the diff and axle stubs. |
Re: First thread, it's mine After 4 years i decided to cut the smaller lugs on a set of mud slingers i have:shock:, they definetly work diferently, and now feel softer ( as soft as this old compound can feel) . http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h2...psffc19350.jpg http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h2...ps6503161d.jpg http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h2...ps05faa057.jpg http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h2...pse90f4364.jpg |
Re: First thread, it's mine 2 Attachment(s) so every few years i make an update:lmao:, i switched out the procar esc, (great little esc, mayor PIA to program, i think even JRH hated to program these puppies) it now sports a sidewinder, took it out for a spin, and it was great, so the cc fj cruiser a la JIA under $200 scaler lives on.8) |
Re: First thread, it's mine Nice, a CC-01 is next on my list, that's 1 Tamiya chassis I've never owned. |
Re: First thread, it's mine 1 Attachment(s) so another update.......put some new wheels and rubbers on it... |
