I've been lurking on the site for about two months now. I read all the threads about these little trucks and was very impressed by them. I had wanted to get back into R/C after a long time out of it and my friend suggested that I get some sort of truck. Seeing as I've had touring cars in the past, its hard to find a good place to run them. As you'll see in the pictures I have a very rocky yard. Now, a little more back round on me, the ABS bodies on these trucks is a really cool feature. I've been building scale model cars for 15 years so I'm real comfortable painting them. Its really fun building something in a larger scale than what I'm used too. I'm also really into photography. I like how well my hobbies fit together. So my CC-01 is now a fun little thing to play with when I'm not Auto-xing, Rally-xing, building scale models or otherwise using my 1:1 cars. It has the standard free front suspension mods, locked diffs, Ball Bearings and a 60t motor. Stock tamiya ESC and Futaba Magnum Junior Radio I had left over from my earlier R/C cars. My short list for future mods include better tires and a gear reduction. I also want a light system. The paint was all done straight from the spray can using Testors 1 coat lacquers. Top is Rootbeer, lower is Pure Gold. The chrome Mitsu diamond on the spare tire cover is from an old Mitsu Key fob. The tail lights and marker lights we're done with chrome foil and then painted over with Tamiya clear acrylics. Hopefully if I've got some time, i will take it out to a scale meet and trail run. |

I definitely need to cut out the brick wall in the front. It smashes in to stuff some times instead of going over. I've pretty much looked at all the threads and picked out what I liked and modded accordingly.
