| Removing glued tyres?
Anyone know an easy way to remove glued tyres from wheels without damage to the wheel? I have standard jeep wheels on jeep rims and the rims are breaking where the glue is. I used super glue. |

not really, i just pulled mine off and they were only "tacked". ended up taking small chunks out of the Tyre bead. you could try boiling them but i dont think it will work. maybe some nailpolish remover apllied to the glue? either way it will be messy. i would use silicone in future so this doesn't happen again. |

I say get some tire remover from the LHS . If thats not an option you can use your thumb to push next to the rim and slowly work a space around tire beed . Use warm soapy water to scrub the contact area while you try to work the beed loose . This works well with common super glue but can take forever with better ca glue . Also this is going to kill your thumbs . I am kind of a large guy (6'4 260lb) with strong hands but I can barely do 2 tires without a break . You have to be very careful or you WILL rip the tire so watch the beed as you go to make sure it isnt stretching too far . Goodluck .
