Default GPM 4 Link help

Has anyone bought GPM's 4 link (CC161)? I have it and it comes with no instructions and it seems what is provided is either to short or to long lol.

Maybe my set was machined wrong?

What kind of body are you running? Pics would help figure the problem out as well.

These are the pics from GPM's site, I have the sets but have not yet fitted them so I cant tell you if they are wrong or not

Now looking at this one it looks like they have 2 x longer rod ends and 2 x shorter ones. Are you trying to use either 4 x shots ones or 4 x longer ones together instead of mixing them ?

Mixing the rod ends seems to be the trick! Thanks! I think the links were $30 or so....

Took some pictures! The GPM 4 link works really well. No binding and with the rear lower shock mounts and you get a little rear lift. The rear lift could be bad by raising your CG and good by giving you more room to articulate. I figure it will help more than hinder. I had my own 4 link set up before but this one seems to work smoother. My poor CC-01 needs a bath and respray! At least it's no shelf queen!

Awesome Grumpster! The pics really help.

Have you thought about possibly mounting the long links to the side of the chassis instead of under so that the rod ends don't get hung up?

I'm going to get me a set too from GPM.

That's how I had my custom 4 link That I made set up but this one seems to be smoother. I will have to test it on the rocks and see.
The problem with mounting them on the side is the geometry gets messed up. The GPM links are fairly short and you might not be able to mount them on the side.

I used stock Axial links that I had kicking around. Mounting them in the stock location limits movement and causes major hangups due to them hanging down so low. Mounting them to the side of the frame rails increases movement and ground clearance.

Here is the short WB setup using only Axial for the lowers and what a huge improvement just these make.

That's how I have always mounted my lowers at the chassis. If anyone the geometry is better b/c of triangulation. At the stock location, the wide angle is at the axle for both the upper and lowers.
