Cool. Definitely looks like a custom made bit to allow for pretty much any pinion gear you want to run. I thought about trying to make one myself, but lacking any access to a CNC it proved to be too difficult for me.

all you would have to do is drill 3 holes in a gpm aluminum motor mount. two in the bottom and one on top. wouldnt think it would be to hard wiht a drill press.

3 holes wouldn't really do it. You need a slot in the correct radius to keep mounting hole spacing as the motor is rotated toward or away from the spur gear.

the 3 holes would be for the chassie to motor mount screws.

I guess I don't follow. With holes as opposed to a slot, you are still limited in what pinion you can run. Seems this guys mod was meant to open up the potential for any size pinion you want. Sent from my HTC6435LVW using Tapatalk |
