how flexible is your cc01?

hello all CC01 fans
i am looking for ways to increase the flex to the CC01
after some research most of you guys add a drop link to rear suspension mount
however its rare to found what have been done to the front suspension

in my opinion a long lower arm may not be a good idea since a too low C hub resulting the dog bone tilting
but the stock chassis refraining the c hub to "go higher" unless you cut that out

please generously share your ways on how to improve cc01's front flex
thanks a lot

Because there isn't much that can be done unless you want to rebuild it from scratch. There are a few tips floating around - on my rigs I just grind a little bit off the C and the suspension arm to clearance them for a little more downtravel. Have to be careful, too much and it can bind at the dogbone.

On my last 2 I didn't even bother - front has ok travel for the size of the rig, I focused more on the rear.

I can get about 3.5" of total twist ....I'm fine with that.

thanks mate your answering i am really appreciate that

i have the front lift curious because my tire is too big (approx100mm) and it touch the chassis when the suspension suppressed

to tackle this i may need to add some plastic rings to the shocks but this reduce the shock travel

bro your truck's articulation you showed on the pictures are great
mind to share what have you done?
a drop link or another shocks?

all i have done are trimmed c hub and lower arm

thanks very much

If the tires are too big, you might want to add some spacers between the chassis and the suspension mounts.
Did this in my FJ Cruiser build and also shaved a few mm off the fenders

Do some digging around, some people are using a drop-link set-up on the rear shocks for the mounting point and getting more droop.

Build thread for some of my latest: http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/tamiy...-3-builds.html

Hitting the upper fender on uptravel is no big deal as it is smooth and doesn't hang anything up. I usually trim out the indents for the lights if needed (below) or if running bigger tires, trim them back far enough for clearance. Cannot tell from the side view when the body is on. Can easily rebuild them taller with styrene if needed.

Indents removed

Inner fender fully clearanced.

thank you for your advice

however the chassis has two hole for the suspension mount
one for screw another for a "protrude" part in suspension mount
if i add spacers in the place you mentioned the "protrude part" may not long enough to attach the chassis
this make me confuse, how is bro your solution?
thanks in advance!

I ment to put spacers between the chassis and this thing, at the wholes I marked in green.
Might require longer screws as well
