bronze bushings for steering mod So far anything I have seen to improve the steering has involved drilling or hacking up the chassis, Has anyone tried to use bronze bushings in the existing holes and fab a steering shaft from threaded rod? I'm considering giving it a shot but I have no idea what size bushings would fit. I was thinking about getting a gpm kit just for the metal bushings it has if I can find one state side. If anyone has a defective gpm kit donations are welcome  click the link to see bushing sizes, if anyone knows what size would fit it will be greatly appreciated Bronze Bushings |
Re: bronze bushings for steering mod The chassis can be drilled to accept a 5x10 bushing or bearing and use an m5x39.5mm shaft. Here is a link to the tutorial. Sorry if this doesn't embed; im using my phone. TamiyaUSA.com - Modifying the CC-01 Chassis By: Joe Anderson |
You might be better served by getting the GPM kit and using it. Careful assembly and using better fasteners goes a long ways. |
