| Low Profile Servo Mount Kit
Here's another cool product coming from Losi. http://www.losi.com/Products/Feature...rodId=LOSA4041 This mount completely eliminates the flex that we've seen from the stock servo mount, especially when running a high torque servo. Using the included spacers, you can drop the servo down so that the plate sits flush with the back mounting post on the axle housing. You can see in the first picture that the holes in the servo posts are offset. In the stock position, you can most any standard sized servo. The posts can be flipped to the other side to fit a "Monster" sized servo like the Hitec 7980 or 7990 |

This mount will drop the servo as low as it can go and still clear with the 20* C's. You will have to run your steering in the upper hole on the servo horn though. With this mount, you could lower the servo even further by shaving down the back post on the axle housing, and ditching the kit spacers. If you lower the servo this far, there will be interference with the 20* C's. Last edited by Del Monte; 11-02-2010 at 12:50 PM.

Very nice! I seen this yesterday on the Losi site. Looks good. You say, "flip the servo mounts" for using the monster servos. Will you be able to use all four mounting holes? Btw, is that a stapler?

Here's the clearance with Low Profile Mount, stock steering link, and 20* axle C's. I had to slightly ream the mounting holes on the 7990 to fit these posts. |

Add this to the list of must have. As anyone started making servo post for the monsters? And I'm assuming Jake, your liking the 7990? Not overkill? I figured the strength would be nice but possibly get you into trouble by throwing the rear of the rig around too much?

Also, if you are running the Lunsford steering link with this setup, you can run your linkage in either hole on the servo horn...in the lowest hole it will rub very slightly with the wheels centered.
