| LNC tires
I was wondering what is the best tire for a losi night crawler? I like the wide tires and it needs to be a really good rock tire?

the go to's on tires in general are hot bodies rovers or sedonas, or losi boss claws. i run sedonas (heavily modified) and really like them, grip pretty much everything i throw them at and after installing crawlerinnovations foams, they just got better.

no problem just keep in mind that the tires may need some work to get them right. the crawlerinnovations foams are a must in my opinion, and all the work on the tread and general weight reduction of the tire has paid off well. better grip, and less rotating mass is always a good thing with these trucks.

Yeah, hot bodies rovers, sedonas and Losi boss claws are the best. But it varies in terrain with what will work best for you. Losi boss claws hate dirt most tires do not like dirt but losi's will just be completely rubbish. Where the rovers and sedonas will not be as bad. Then there are different compounds for the tires, softer ect. The rovers are a good alround tyre that will be good on most terrain. Good foams like crawler innovations will completely change a tyre. They with grip better and side hill better depending on the foams you choose. Crawler innovations double deuce foams are IMO the best, with soft outer to grab onto rocks and firmer inner to side hill better. Plus you can mod tires, shave them, sip them ect.

I switched the stockers out for a set of Rover white dots. Man what a difference! Really nice tires

I have run the rovers for a year but tried a set of Pitbulls I bought for another rig but they wouldn't fit it. I find for straight dry rock crawling the Pitbulls are better than the rovers. That said the rovers are the best all around tire I have run.

What is each tire best for? Like rovers are best for _____, Sedonas are best for ________, etc? I am looking to buy tires right now. I chopped up the stock lcc foams for the comp claws and they got better, but maybe there is better? The Rovers look a lot like the comp claw |

Chopping up the foams is not a good idea, it really gives you inconsistent pressure in the contact patch. Softer foams will make huge difference over cutting foams. A good set of foams is almost more important than the tire itself (almost being the key word). One thing to note that tires get better with wear on them. I have some Sedonas that are about a year old (lots of runtime), that I got used with some good runtime on them. They just keep getting better and better. The night before you go out, clean them with Simple Green and leave them wet with Simple Green. They will be soooo grippy, and not gather dirt too bad. | |

Ok thanks. They may be inconsistent but they are better than they were, especially on rock. I crawl mostly on granite in my area. Rock fields and large rocks. Should I go with Rover or Sedona? Sent from my PG86100 using Tapatalk 2 |

In addition to what has already been stated, the Rovers have more edges, in various directions, than the Rock Claws.
