Default crwler 1 memory foams review

my first impression of these new foams was kind of skeptical. i had seen kami's video and thought i would have to find out for myself. i had pm'd crwler1 about these and had a quick response (always a good thing) i ordered them on a thurs and to my surprise the showed on the following tues. i opened the box, grabed one and was like wtf. they felt extremely stiff and and not like any other foams out there. i took some pics and measurements on them and what actually surprized me was the weight. they were over half the weight of my previous setup(enlarged nwt hybryds with 1/4 slices of losi foam on each side.
here is what i found:

grew about 3/16 of an inch on the wheel

weight

old foams

loaded comparisons

first off the specs.
7 lb. car
white rovers
fully loaded vp dh's up front
unloaded rear
crwler1 firm inner
soft outer
vented tires instead of rims (due to the inner foam being to dense and blocking the holes in the wheels)
@75.46735 degrees

we went to a local spot and gave them a try. i was actually very surprised to see the foams became soft in the heat. they seem to be as soft as the panther mem foams but maintained their structure well. they have almost no bounce at all and are very stable. i am fairly surprised at there performance so far. we will be trying these in a few upcoming comps and will report more then.

i saw these in action as i shot the vid and they are pretty damn awsome
i do not think by any means they would be good in anything below 70 degrees at least nt the firm. i have ordered 1 set of each to do my review. we will see how they do on a 120 degree day in yuma on a 145 degree black rock but all in all for sure the best i have seen yet,

did more testing today at about 80 degrees and the one of the best things that i could tell was how dead they were, zero bounce. if you needed to hit the face of the rock with some fporce you would not bounce back but actualy go up it.the firms for sure are not as firm as you would think in the warm weather they will twist up real nice.
will get back to with more info soon

They actually fold over quite a bit when they get bound up. I tried them this evening and they were quite a bit harder but still performed pretty well. They rebound extremely fast
With little to no rebound.

So when you tested them was is very cold but not cold at all. Or was it very hot, but not hot at all?

i saw a set of these in use at 801rcc's competition on saturday. it was early in the morning and the course was in the shade. they were so hard that the rig couldn't climb anything, a little later on they softened up in the sun but as soon as they were put in the shade they hardened up again. i understand that all memory foams are affected by temperature but these things seemed a bit extreme. my Aces Donuts, even in very cold weather never hardened up as much as these things did.
