Default Oem Steel Wheels

I recently bought a set of the oem steel 1.9 wheels. From past experience I've always drilled 2 small holes in my wheels to let air in and out. Should I drill a couple holes in my oem's? Where should I drill them?

I have the 1.55's with mud hogs, no holes in either and they seem to work just fine.

I have two sets of these but neither is vented as they see water from time to time. If I were to vent them I'd drill a small hole 180 degrees apart right in the middle of the aluminum ring in the middle of the rims.

I have 2 sets ans I ran them without venting at first then I vented them and they work alot better. They will form to the rocks alot better if they are vented. I drilled one 1/8" hole in the alum ring in the center.

But I intend to drill some vents.

I want to use them in all types of weather.

I had an unexpected... uh...situation, hahahaha

I had a set of rims/ tire set, star cut foam inserts, and no vent holes.

My mistake was taking my rig out in the snow.

Air inside the tires cooled and contracted creating a vaccum after a few minutes.

The tires sucked in and conformed to the star shaped foam.

The truck bounced all over the place even on flat ground.

This SUCKED!

Addendum: after careful consideration (i hate drilling), the easiest way to vent is to place tiny hole in center of tire.
