| 0.7" rims + Rover Whites + Nova foams = Tires crowning? help
my tires are very round with the combination listed in the thread title. i notice that i'm loosing traction because the tires are really stiff in the middle. i'm wondering what most people are using or are doing to their foams to get maximum traction. I'm thinking abotu making my own foams or modifying the Nova's. I shoudl say that the side hilling is much better than the Losi compclaws with the factory memory foams. i tried trimming about 3/16" off the smaller stiffer foam in the rear and that seams to has softened up the tread a bit. I will be out on the rocks tomorrow.

Try running a oversized single stage memory foam up front and keep the DD in the back. The DD inner foam is definitely too wide for the .7" rim width though. You may have to trim that sucker. Ultimately PM'ing Eddie is your best bet on a good starting point. |

I have .7 with Nova's foams. I trimmed the inner foam and then used Nova's tuning discs. Works great even with 6" Rovers!

You could always run the Boss Claws...They seem the bigger the foam the better...And I also run them on .7's I have a nova inner foam with the pro-line dual stage foam wrapped around it with no trimming...Grips up crazy for me. Best setup I have ran to date. And my tire is very round. GL |

Your going to think I'm crazy....... I run the 2.25 inner foam. Its ruff to mount...But the foam breaks in and softens up quick. All I can say is try it. They side hill like no other...And climb even better. In the rear I run a trimmed down F400 |
