| Super Rover XL's 8"
I got tired of not having white dot rovers on my super. So, I made some cut n shut tires. It took 4 moab xl's, and 6 rovers. Also I narrowed a set of HPI Blast to 1.5" These tires just plain hook up! 1. cut side walls off of the moab's 2. cut two of the rovers in half, then cut down side walls. 3. cut the remaining 4 tires 4. glue in the half pieces of tires. 5. glue on the side walls. |

| Thanks. That's what she said. Thanks, after seeing all the sweet sets you have done, I had to give it a try. Quote:
I used the stock moab xl foams, I cut them narrower. And then I used stock rover foams over the top. Glued them with 3M-77 spray adhesive. They turned out to be right at the 8" that I needed. Might be a little stiff, but I still need to do more testing. The tires just plain work. I can't believe how much better the rig preforms with these on it. I should of taken the rok lox off earlier. I would love a set of your foams, all I could see on your website is 7.5" foams. Quote:

| Thanks for the interest, however, I don't have a vender star and I'm really not wanting to make another set for awhile... It took me all day to do these. But, the tire master himself commented in this thread. Nova's Ark is one of the best tire and foam guy in rc crawling. I've have personally seen his work at our finals comp, and I was very impressed. And his pricing is very reasonable, I think the next set I need, I'll have him do them. |
