| Will Proline Epic 2.2 slash Wheels Work for a 2.2 Rock Crawler Tire?
Well on a whim I bought a set of Proline 2.2 Epic Beadlock wheels not realizing they were for a Slash and not realizing the back of the wheels did not have a beadlock ring. The outside is a standard beadlock but the inside is an internal beadlock held on by the outside ring. I mounted them on 2.2 Rok Lox and it held fine. https://tcscrawlers.com/Proline-Slas...3-p-17184.html Just wondering if I should hang on to these or try to sell them. I have a Slash 4x4 which is just about done with the stock tires but these wheels can only run the Proline Switch tires. What do yall think? If it holds for a 2.2 wheel I like the idea I can have two sets of wheels for my Slash 4x4 and also my crawler rigs. |

Thanks for that reply yes they are the old Slash wheels but they will fit on the 4x4 as well but thing is I guess I will have to see how well they hold on the inside bead as it's an internal lock.

They hold decently. Not good, but not too bad. I have some on my slash with the axial rocklizards on them. No foam up front and stock switch foams in the back. For lowspeed it's fine. Make sure you run a thick diff fluid! If you diff out at all and give throttle it'll pop them out. Just in case, I use a very small bead of rtv silicon on the ring and back side of the wheel to hold the tires on. On my old set I ca glued a bead on the ring and before it drys sprinkle on baking soda. Makes it like griptape. |
