What do you mean 2x2? The screws are M2x10mm. I bought mine from eBay.

AMain Hobbies has some Tamiya button head screws. Has a 000 Phillips head. I believe they're plated rather than stainless.

THANKS!!! goina get some. My bead keeps popping out i believe because I cant get the screws tight with out rounding them out. Are the axial bead locks crap or is it just the bolts?

its a real B*tch trying to find those darn little pan heads.

Imo they're ok for lower power applications. The few sets I've used have held the bead fine on alot of different tires. Another way to get a tight hold is going up to the next English size... 2-56x3/8" will allow you to really crank down on the rings without them stripping as easy as M2. Be aware the rings will need to be opened up to accommodate the larger screw size.

This is what I do.... 2-56 x 3/8" buttonheads. Looks and holds great and doesn't strip out threads. Or you can countersink the lock ring and use countersunk 2-56 screws.

That's what I did when I got MTHead rings, those screws hold great and really bite into the wheel.

thanks for the advice. I am running a holmes 55t motor and holmes esc. Not sure if that is enough power to be giving me the problem or that i cant get the bolts tight enough.

Axial beadlocks hold 45T on 3s no problem, your screws are not tight enough and/or not seated properly.

If you also want to add a little style to your stock Axial wheels, you might consider our beadlock rings: RPP Hobby | Radio Controlled Cars, Trucks, Boats, Helis, Planes, Plastic Models

They include 2-56 screws too!
