| any cut and shut write up's??

yes i want to enlarge not reduce sorry. I did search "cut n shut" but didnt think any of it was worth while. maybe its called something else i dont know i dont spend my life on this forum bagging on people. shit ive been a member since 2004 and have less then 150 posts.does that tell you anything?it's people like jckjeep that make the forums not even worth getting on! |

Yea, searching can give you awesome results, but here's one to look at: LIVE FAB: FLatIrons turn to TallIrons! I did the same thing, but, really the methods shown in any reducing can be applied to enlarging a tire. Here's what mine look like: There's a limit to how much larger you can make a tire, as in, a 1.9 flat iron probably doesn't enlarge to a 4.0 rim well since the diameter of the carcass is too tight, it causes wrinkles and folds that will hurt performance. Get some IC2000, some CA, some good scissors, and a bunch of tires, and get to cut'n'opening some tires. BTW what tire are you looking to make larger? |

search for 'Pantablo' on youtube, he made of vid showing how to cut apart tires and reduce them, it would be the same basic technique to enlarge them.

| If you cut the sidewalls just right (meaning, outside of the sidewall tread), then you should be able to get a 9" tall tire. You'll need custom foams as well...

i would look into krawlfreaks berg build. i do believe he has a write up on 6" rovers... VERY SIMPLE to do. it should be on one of the last few pages
