| Proline 1.9 Pins
Well, I've been impressed with the pin tires on my 2.2, so I decided to cut up a set for my MRC as well. I used the sidewalls from an old set of G8 Flatirons and the tread and a slight bit of sidewall from the M4 Caliber tire....here is how the first one turned out (actually, this is the second, but I need to take apart the first and fix a few issues): (next to a 1.9 Rover) I must say, I am quite impressed with this M4 compound....it is EXTREMELY soft. These tires sit right at 4" when mounted on the truck. I am not sure yet if I will cut any lugs out like I did on my 2.2....I'll run them first and see how they do. Now, back to gluing! |

Thank you! Yeah, making tires definitely takes patience......especially if you dont have a visual to go off of. My first shot at these, the tire ended up being too big after it had a foam in it and was mounted to the rim. So, I had to cut it apart, and remove some material. The rest of them went together smoothly.

http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...ughened-CA-1oz It is quite flexible, yet very strong. I have built several sets of tires using this glue and never had one rip apart. | ||

Thanks! I used these: http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...I=PROC0156&P=K It says they are for the Slash. This M4 compound is REALLY soft....I'd venture to say softer than the Red HB compound. You'll need 4 tires for the tread. I forget how many rows of lugs I cut out to make the tread...I can count them when I get home this evening. One thing to note, the sidewall tread on the Caliber is different on one side of the tire than it is on the other (I guess because of the different ID)....so if you plan to use some of the sidewall from the caliber like I did, then just make sure you make both IDs the same after the cut. If you only want to use the tread from the caliber and use a larger portion of the flatiorn sidewall, then there should be no issue. |

Ok, here's a picture of the tread that I remove from the caliber: I know, it's a bad picture...but it is three complete sections of tread. |

Which tires are better prolines or hot bodies for Losi MRC with dark soul wheels.
