Default Wheel hexes

I have a set of nylint tires and was thinking if I got something like the hex's that rc4wd makes for there oem wheels and bolt them to the back would that work to mount them on a set of custom axles. What do u guys think I was just worried about how strong it would be and if it would take abuse from a 2 speed.
