Default 1.9 tire and terrain guide...?

In particular I am looking for some feedback from those that used the G8 flat iron compounds and then compared or used the new Axial Ripsaw's R35 compound and how they found them on the different types of terrains!

Is there also some sort of guide or reccomendations as to which tire design/compound would be more suited to a particular terrain, also in the 1.9 category?

I have searched under the tire types and have not been able to find anything!
.....or do the 2.2 reccomendations apply to 1.9 as well?

It all depends on the rig, in general what most people use is good on all types of terrain but each has to be slightly tuned to suit their driving style and rig.

Ok thanks but unfortunately I do not have money to throw around so was hoping for more of a guided response. Something like a flat iron would be good for rocks and ...etc.. or only rocks whereas the Ripsaw would be a good all rounder etc.....

Rig would be an SCX10 for trail and crawling.

The Pitbulls and Ripsaws are the best 1.9 tires going. I haven't used the Ripsaws myself, but alot of guys have told me that they work really well on most everything. Guys that have been running them at our scale comps were doing well. That being said, the Pitbulls are still my favorite. Haven't found anything that they don't work well on.

Pitbulls, or anything from rc4wd in the new x2ss compound. The 1.9 ripsaws are also nice.

My votes in for the Pit Bulls as well. They work really well on just about everything we have here in the South West. Even in wet granite they hook up really well, considering how its hard enough walking. dubaaron and i are the 2 locals that run them and he likes them just as much as I do

Pit Bulls in 1.9 or 2.2... they work great everywhere.
My second choice would be ProLine TSL's. They were the best tire I ran until the Pit Bulls.
