Default Vanquish .225 or .350 SLW hubs for my Wraith?

I currently have Vanquish .225 SLW hubs for my Wraith. They work fine, but they're bare aluminum, and I see that Vanquish now makes them in black too. However, their black .225 hubs are out of stock right now. I was thinking about getting the .350 hubs instead, which would widen the track by a quarter of an inch. I measured, and the .225 hubs are 1mm narrower than the stock track width on the Wraith, whereas the .350 hubs would be 5mm wider than the stock track width. So my question is, is there *any* benefit (or detriment) to widening the track width by a mere 5mm? Or should I just maintain the status-quo, and wait a week or two so I can get the black .225 hubs when they're back in stock?

350s are pretty common on the wraith.

If you've got .225s already why mess with it? Just color them with a sharpie if it bothers you so much. I wouldn't make it any wider, I like to keep the wraith as narrow as i can get it.

depends what you do. I found that wider is a lot better when side-hilling a lot, but if your trails are narrow it'll reduce the amount of lines you can take. It also makes passing over narrow rocks a little harder since your tires are farther apart and the rocks might hit the axle more frequently. I don't think that much of an increase will hurt it any though.

That's what I'm hemming and hawing about. It's only a 6mm difference total, but for all I know that 6mm difference may actually have a noticeable effect.

When it comes to the Wraith I don't think it matters much unless you're comping with it. Wraith axle based rigs have a slight disadvantage because of their width. Class 3 gates can be 13" minimum which is quite narrow for anything approaching 12" WB.

I run LU RC .185 hubs and have a track width of 11 1/4". I don't think I can get it any narrower with Wraith axles.

If you're not comping the rig and width isn't a concern, then get what you like as far as color and stance goes.

Is there someone local that you can barrow a set of 350s from. You may like it. Track width is one of the things that is give and take, narrow is better in one spot and wide is better in another.

Nope. Like all my other hobbies, I don't know anyone else in-person who's into RC. There are the guys at the hobby store, but they don't stock boutique parts like Vanquish.

Well, the .225s came back in-stock, so I decided to just pick up a couple of those.
