Default Put 2.2 on 1.9's

Just got done putting 2.2 tires on 1.9 rims. Did it similar to micro. Used 2" pvc, dirtworks tires and rpm rims.
I'm going to build a truck for these rims/tires. They aren't going on the bronco.
The pics will explain everything:-P

Wow! I really like the look of the narrowed tires and the wheel size. Nice job.

I dont care for the wheels but then again it's not my truck. Nice work.

you're gonna love the way those tires perform too. They crawl GREAT. I made a set just like them but on 2.2 wheels with no foams.

I didn't even think of using PVC pipe. I've still got nine feet of that stuff left over from when I made my drift tires

Now I know what to do with it. Good call.

Those tires have an incredible scale look! I might have to make a set for my TLT.

I've always had that idea floating around in my head with those exact tires to. I figured I'd use them for the Jim truck to make it more comp worthy. It seems there are no high traction scale looking tires out for it.

Tiny tires on a mudder?

Those are the trailer tires. It won't fit on the trailer with the big tires on the truck.

Not to resurrect an old thread but, those tire could almost took like BFG Krawlers if one were to play with the thread pattern a bit.

That is a good looking set of scale tires, nice job. I think you need a little longer set of shackles on the rig though

I used lexan scissors. I ran the back side of the scissor against the tread to keep it straight. That's why the cut out piece looks a little of set. It's easier to do that than cut down the middle in between the tread blocks.
I glued them back together with IC-2000.

would it be comp leagal to use those wheels? they aren't 2.2, but they aren't BIGGER than 2.2

either way they look nice. it reminded me a need to cut and shut a set of tires for a set of proline 24 wheels i found on my LHS's clearance table...
