Default TSL with

I researched a little and found most every says not to do it. Also see most photos are with over inflated tires.

I've got just enough air to support the rig. On the rocks performance is good

Will continue testing

Everything I've read leads to "more trouble than it's worth, by far". Realistic? Yes. Practical? No. Your pressure will change with the temperature and season. With vented tires/foams you can achieve a reliable and predictable tire/wheel set for your rig. With air pressure you'll be constantly checking and adjusting pressure. Fun for a tinkerer, pita for a real runner.

I'm a real runner and tinkere in real life and in the hobby and will try anything ounce.

I tried put bulls and they didn't work out great for me but I tried them.

Here's my cut pits with air.

Air on the right for left.

I don't run vented wheels

Cool valve stem setup, it's good to try stuff and I like to tinker....sometimes. Thanks for the pics. EDIT: Some Presta valves would be lighter and smaller, but little more damage prone without caps.

However, I've found Maxwedge to be correct for me...and I run some home made dual stage and Crawler Innovations foams.

I've found not many tinkeres in the bolt on crawler hobby.

I had crawler innovations foams but found memory foams work better for me memory foams are almost like air.

I can see how air could be a pain but on the flip side tire characteristics can be tuned on the trail. Need more center bite given em a slight amount more air less air em down.

I think it could be a good thing to tinker. And yeah air changes with temp change but I highly doubt rubber and foam don't change. Heck even rock temp changes a tires performance drastically. A good crawler innovation foam may perform awesome at 50 deg today and shitty tomorrow at 75.

I tinker with bullets. Rc crawler, 1:1 crawler, my house.

Little bolts on and little works for me that works for the masses.

Makes me wonder Bout this crawler hobby

I'll stick with foam, I'd rather not have to worry about getting a flat tire in the middle of a comp...

Hey I'm not gonna rag on you for trying out something you are curious about. More power to you.

I have to run vented rims. My house is at 800ft and my favorite trails are at 3000ft... My tires would balloon pretty severely and would be too hard for optimal traction. I like them sealed up for trucks that don't venture up that high though. It is more realistic and a little more fun to drive on vs just using foams for support.

I can't keep air in them so have kinda scrapped the air idea. So I really like memory foams and have crawler innovations dual stage not being used any more. I wrapped a pro line memory with CI outer fills the center of rb2s out better but still conforms very well in the rocks. Also alittle more stable
