Default Wheels Don't Fit Inside CI Foams

I got Crawler Innovations 2.2 Double Deuces foams and my 2.2 Incision wheels inner beadlock ring won't fit inside. Why?

It feels like they're going to tear if I push any harder.

I've seenn babies come out of those things so that little wheel of yours ain't gonna hurt nothing.

...wait, different subject.

They'll be fine, that closed cell foam is pretty durable. It does look a bit smaller than normal, what foam & wheel size is that?

You guys are sick!

The foam and tire info is in the original post. 2.2 CI Double Deuces and 2.2 Incision Method MR307 wheels.

Is the part number written on the side? If so, double check it.

Indeed. Smells like a tall set of 1.9's got shoved in a standard 2.2 package.

I ordered 1051's and 1052's and that's what is written on the side of the closed cell foams.

Shove it in there and mount them up. You can be sure of at least one thing, the foam isn't going to move around on you.

Right at 2.2". I think that's odd considering the inner rings are almost always larger than the wheel which are 2.2" at the bead. My inner rings measure 2.551" OD.

Looked at a pic of the product. You can see larger rings whereas yours look compressed af. I'd guess wrong size but I'm new. Seems pretty pointless to have a compressed layer of foam like that but I'm not the one doing r&d out there.

I am 97.4% sure that all of the 1.9 and 2.2 inner foams have an ID of 2.2".

The 1.55"s ID are ~1.9".

21, 12 whatever. Not much difference in rural 'bama.

How is the inner diameter of the closed cell foam 2.2"? That means the wheel is 2.5"

How? Easy. They made it that way. Why? That's my question.

Well shove it together and run it. The inner foams are always tight on the wheels and depending on wheel it can be tighter or looser.

Unless of course you'd like to start an argument with CI customer service then order up foam from some Asian supplier so you can preach how good the Asian foams are and how terrible the CI foam is in every thread you can find.
