| Crawler inovation foam help please.
So I used the search bar here on RCC and even google but can't find my specific or close enough answer. Long story short I have the 1.9 IROK tires which have the 4.65 OD, I need firm foams because my rig weighs enough to completely flatten out my tires and I need wheel weights on top of it because my 4 door hilux build is top heavy now. Which foams do I get, the 4.75 or the 4.50, I do plan on upgrading tires to the Compass tires with the 4.75 OD and dropping the foams in those but that's for a while, will the 4.75's fit the Irok or will it balloon out? Thanks for the help guys. |

For a heavy rig like that I would recommend the 4.75 deuces wild.

I have the dual stage foams and closed cell foams. The 4.5" dual stage medium foams fill out a 1.9 BFG Krawler T/A completely. I can't imagine needing the 4.75 foams. What's your idea of heavy? |

I'm using the DW foams in Compass tires and I love the combo. I ordered the foams listed for the 1.9 Swamper xl. They don't stuff the tire which leaves a little slack for conformance to rocks. Here's what I'm using: Single Stage Closed Cell for 1.9 Proline TSL SX XL And for reference here's some pics of the 4.75 Lil Novas next to Compass tires with DW foams (on 2.2 wheels). I've never had the iroks so I don't know how those compare. Last edited by snicklefritz; 05-18-2015 at 09:52 PM. |

Just a thought, you could order the 4.75 Lil Novas (two stage) and if they're too big for the Iroks you could run them with only the closed cell inners then add the outers back on when you get your Compass tires.

If you go to Crawler Innovations website and message them with your question (be sure to include rig's weight & tire) Eddie will respone to you with the right foam for the rig/tire combo you have and you can be sure you have the right foam. Problem solved.

Thanks for all the ideas and advice guys, I think I'm going to just order the 4.75 now that I know I can take the outer cell out if I need too right now and then insert it back in when I get the compass tires, although I might email Eddie just to be on the safe side though. My rig is around 8 lbs, give or take.

I went with the 4.5 tuning disks and the 4.5 lil novas for my 1.9 Gladiator set up. I have to say it is a great setup, the tires have enough bite and the tires are very predictable now. I think you are going to end up with a set of deuces wild single stage for them TSL's. good luck.
