I see so many people whining about proline beads being difficult or impossible to mount and I laugh at all of them. Can they be slightly difficult to mount on some wheels? Sure. They can be a bear to mount on axial ifd's for sure. But once mounted they do NOT come loose on accident which is more than I can say for pit bulls or ironically axial tires.

Maybe I'm in a minority to think that proline beads are superior.

For once I agree with you.

Yeah, I have to agree with WT on this one.

The new Hyrax looks sweet, can't wait to compare a set to the new PitBulls

I have to agree on the bead. Might be a bitch to mount sometimes, but once you get it in there, it's not coming off unless you want it to.

The name Hyrax apparently comes from an animal that lives in rocks and is great at climbing them.

If the tires look ugly and work well. They will fit right in, on my rigs.

I would have rather finally had some scale Mud Grapplers compared to that looking like the Losi Race Claws...

Good to see more tire options, but KLRs and these Hyrax don't really look much like a 1:1 tire.

Thanks, but no thanks...pause...I'll pass.

Reminds me of the stock Twin Hammers tires. Excited to learn more, though.

Proline posted this on Instagram:

prolineracing: @johnschultzrc testing the new @prolineracing #Hyrax 1.9" Tire out at Horseman's Center, tires available very soon! John has his Hyrax tires filled with our optional New 1.9" 2-stage foam, also available very soon.

https://www.instagram.com/p/BKoTtGNA...=prolineracing

I'm not so interested in the tires but the 2 stage foams are interesting. Some other pics of the tires unmounted show a closed cell insert which makes me wonder if PL will be dropping some CI-esque inserts in the near future.

Nice find! It would be awesome to have more foam options.

I'm surprised they haven't done it sooner since they've had closed cell foams for their buggy/SC tires for a long time.
