Default RC4WD steel wheels tire guide

Hey guys, I've got a set of the RC4WD 1.9 steel wagon wheels with the black internal ring. I've discovered that Proline TSL's do not fit due to the tire bead being beveled on the back side. What tires WILL fit on these wheels? Pit Bulls, Axial, etc.
thanks

You need the blue rc4wd inner rings to make them seat,i had to get them to mount swampers.

The rc4wd wheels have had some issues in the past with cutting the beads of of others brand tires, I haven't bought rc4wd rims in years because of that. I wasn't trying to be a turkey. If you use a 10/32 (I'm pretty sure this what I got) bolt that's 2 inch you can put 2 washers on it you can run it threw the hex hole and run it down then add the screws included with the wheels.

Yeah I'm beginning to regret getting these wheels myself. I had heard that these wheels were problematic but I never figured it would be this bad. I was hoping I would have more choices of tires than RC4WD's. This is starting to look like a "live and learn" thing.

I found Axial tires to be by far the easiest to mount to the RC4WD steel wheels. The set of Treps on steelies that I have can be mounted perfectly in 5 minutes with little effort.

Get the Blue Wheel Inner Rings and your Pro-line tires will fit..
Or GearHead EZ-Loc Wheels.

I have several sets of the RC4WD wagon wheels because I really like the look and no one else makes an equivalent. They were a bear when I first got them, no hex adapter included, black rings wouldn't fit any of the tires that I owned, and they were super hard to put together. I bought the blue Proline rings and they were better, but still had many of the same problems. In the end, I learned that put them together with a 8-32 bolt in the center hole with a washer and nut to draw the rim together made life so much easier, but, in the end, to get the tires I wanted to run to fit, I had to make my own rings out of 2" pvc pipe. You can make any tire fit these rims depending on how much of a fight you are willing to put up.

These are Vaterra's TSLs. The bead on these make Proline's bead look tiny. I had to make my own rings for these to work.

These are the original Rockbeasts. They worked with the blue rings, but not with the black.

These are the new Rock Beast XL, these went on with the blue rings.
