Default M2K Reduction question

Hey guys, I'm in the process of reducing my M2K's from stock to narrowed down 1.9 tires. I'm already at the stage of narrowing the tire altogether so that it is the size of a 1.9 wheel, now comes the circumfrence change. I've seen a few of you that have done this mod, I'm just trying to figure out the best way to go about the cut through the tire. Any suggestions? It's my first time doing this so I'm not expecting perfection but I'm taking my time so that I can get the best possible result. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks guys

Just follow the lug contour and down the sidewall.

cut straight up from the inner bead and follow the lugs...basically cut in a "V" pattern...then cut 3 complete lugs off and your good to go...good luck..
