First do you know how to weld? if not it is useless. If you are going to jearn I would recomed a wire feed weldor, Lincoln is a well known name in the weldor field. what you see is what you get. no helmet or gloves. No welding rods either.

Why is this in the 2.2 scale section and not the tools section?

But... good luck building a tuber with a stick welder. I wouldn't suggest it. Check this out instead...

Skip the arc welders and get an oxy-acetelyne torch outfit. they cost around what a decent arc welder would cost (Victor is a good brand). Or you could pick up a propane torch from home depot, etc. that'll get the job done. If this "amfab" course is like my high school metal shop class, you'll learn to use a torch before the stick welder.

You need to work on your spelling. buy a TS8000 bernzomatic mapp gas kit at home Depot for about $45. buy some silver solder and flux from you local welding supply store.

Sorry, I didn't know these forums had spell check. :-(That bernzomatic is a great choice, which solder do you recommend?
