Default Help with brazing/soldering

ok i am making a custom roof rack for my truck out of 3/16 aluminum bar and i can connect the pieces together cause the aluminum just melts and a chunk falls off. wat should i use to connect the pieces together?

you need stuff that is used to braze alum....the stuff you use to braze 3/16" brakeline won't work...............bob

oh ok thanks. so like different brazing rod or wat. or different equipment. cause we were even using a camping propane torch and it was melting

yeah it's a low temp melting point braze so you don't melt your material.............bob
