Default Pulled the trigger on a tool set.

Finally manned up and bought a good set of tools.

Spendy set but I've been told by a few people whos opinion I value that you get what you pay for.

Good choice. I just bought the 1.5, 2.0, 3.5 and 4mm set. They have been used a lot and have wore very very little. Seem to be holding up really well.

Well it was down to buying a quality set or replace my 1.5 and 2.0 on a monthly basis. At 10-15$ a pop it would have equaled out to buying the Hudy set in short order. Got the limited edition 25th anniversary set just cause I liked the look and they came with the case.

Where did you buy it from, or did you buy direct from Hudy?

My wife bought me a killer set(s) of Hudy's for Father's day this year, or I should say my daughter did...anywho, they rock!!! Nicest drivers I have ever owned...Thanks to ChrisTheBatteryMan for helping her with the idea!

Now if only things would break.... I love these things. A pleasure to use. Built a team Durango desc410r kit last weekend and was more than
Pleased. I look for excuses to tear into my rigs now. No more stripped hardware.

Nice Set !

I still do most of my work with my cordless drills tho.

I'm just too impatient ! LOL

I can turn down my old...14.4v Makita's clutch....to make it so that it doesn't round or strip anything out. (very sensitive clutch)

Then...I just cut down good quality Allen Wrench's (Bondhus).

I make long, medium and short pieces.

That way I can reach most anything.

I started doing this about a year ago.

I've built quite a few SCX's and the newer ones that are all hex are really nice with this setup.

But the main reason...was because I sometimes buy and sell a ton of wheels and tires.

Alot of the time...I get them in and I only want the new tires....or the new wheels...but they're mounted up already.

SO......sometimes I've had to dismount and mount hundreds and hundreds of bolts on beadlocks...in a single day (a bit hard on the hands !)

I would like to have a nice set to take with me when I'm out runnin my rigs tho...something well built and compact.

I've used Hudy's before and they had a very nice feel to them....and they fit nice and snug in the bolt heads too.

They are by far a pleasure to use. I use snap on tools for work , these are on par with quality and comfort. Granted you do pay the same premium for the name I definitely got what I paid for.
Hudy makes an adapter for power drivers along with a full compliment of bits.

They were 290$. Money well spent when you consider the hardware and drivers I was going through using inferior tools. In a years time I easily went through $200 in replacement drivers and hardware for my rigs. I spent the extra coin for the limited edition set.

I love the looks of them, and the case would make them a great pit bag set, but I wouldn't trust myself taking them out of the house

I know a lot of people use power drivers, but for me I really prefer the feel of a hand tool...especially nice ones.

I agree about doing it by hand. I prefer to be able to feel how the screws/ nuts/ bolts tighten and loosen. Then again I haven't stripped threads since I was a kid learning how to turn a wrench.
Also makes a difference when dealing with metric and imperial thread pitch.

They look great and I like that case, but I got a set of used integy's from my buddy and have never had a problem with them never broke a tip or rounded a bolt. I did just buy a set of standard hex drivers from dynamite and I have already stripped out bolts with them only after a few months.
