Default 3D Printer cart/table

I just purchased a Creatlity Ender 3 Pro and I'm looking for recommendations on some kind of cart, stand or table to sit it on.

At the moment I do not have any room to sit the printer on my workbench, so I was just wondering what everybody is using to sit theirs on.

Thanks for any and all ideas in advance!

I have mine on an old TV stand. It was from back when CRT TV's were still a thing and TV stands enclosed the TV's. I unbolted the surround and now, basically, have a large end table. It's a higher quality one so it doesn't shake all over when the printer is doing its thing. Very cheap stands will wobble too much IMO.

That sounds like a great way to repurpose antique TV technology! I’m so glad we have moved on from them old heavy viewing devices!

The shaking and moving around was what I was worried about. I wasn’t exactly sure how much these printers actually move around while printing.

If I can’t find something sturdy, I may build a small 2x4 stand with a piece of plywood on top. That will depend on how cold it gets out in the garage this coming week. I should have taken advantage of this Spring weather I have been having for the last couple days.

Thanks for the advice Jato.

When it starts a rapid back and forth section, you don’t want any table shake as this can show in the layers. I just put both of mine on the workbench, space is my issue also.

I picked up a cube shelf at Walmart. It’s built thick and is very sturdy. I’ve been printing on it for two days now and haven’t had any problems with wobble.

Prints are coming out nice and smooth, so I think I’ll go with this for now.

Thanks for the help guys!

IKEA has one just like this. I don't recall the price, but I do know it's offered in different finishes. I can confirm that the design is VERY stable (I use a 2-square x 4-square unit as a TV stand, holding a 55", speakers, and a few other things).

I like the stand, compact and good use of space, weight down low, is more stabilized.
My benchtop is heavy also, no issues.

Yeah, I like IKEA's products. I needed a stand quickly and IKEA is about an hour from my house. Walmart was 15 minutes away, so Walmart it was. I think I paid $49 bucks for it.

I wouldn't mind getting a bigger one for a TV stand like you did.

I like the Craftsman workbench. Looks like a perfect size for two printers. I'll have to keep that in mind if/when I get another printer!

I use this for my ender 3. Tricky to assemble, but solid and has shelves for storing filament and parts. I have another I got first for my reloading table, also works well. Get a 20% off coupon and it's an even better deal!
