So how does this alert you to stop running the Summit when the Lipo reaches the point to recharge? Does a light come on, on the radio itself? Is there an audible?

If you are talking about the LVC that's built in to the ESC you will lose power and not be able to drive once the LVC is reached. If you have an external alarm, the alarm will go off once you hit the threshold and you need to stop running your truck.

There is no light and no audible. However the truck slows and then stops. Upon removing the body you will see that the light on the ESC will be flashing red - note it's good to know the difference between LVC and thermal shut down.
