Default Yeah Racing Brass Diff Cover Steering Link Contact

I'm still assembling my sport kit. Super excited. I bought a yeah racing brass diff cover and the steering rod connecting the two knuckles makes contact before full lock. Is there an option part to fix this or do I need to dial down my steering to avoid contact- less than full steering lock? Thanks.

My suggestion would be to just limit servo throw to avoid steering rod contacting the diff cover. It should not be a problem in 99.9% of situations and if really stuck, you can always do a 3-point turn. I would only consider other solutions (like grinding away a SMALL amount of diff cover material) if you were going to be entering competitions.

Put a couple small bends in the tie rod for clearance.may have to add,a couple 1mm spacers.

If you're not comfortable bending the rod to get the clearance you'll need, I'd assembly it with the stock cover for now and look for an aftermarket rod with bends. Once you get that, then install the brass cover. I stock radio with an issue that wouldn't let me get full turn on my TRX4. Worked through the end point setting and still wouldn't work. Went to an aftermarket Rx/TX set up and now getting full lock to lock and to me, is very important to have.

they also sell offset rod ends that would hold the steering link out a few more mm away from the diff cover

Works like a charm. This offset link gives lots of clearance for the biggest pumpkins. Full steering throw until the steering knuckles hot the stops

You can do a lot having extra rod ends of various sizes on shape on hand.

You can quickly change your wheelbase and changes things, such as the OP spoke about easily. Get a little clearance here and there.

Same with your hardware.

I found out Traxxaa Jato rod ends can come in handy. Thanks everyone. I'm still learning.

Thanks for the tip. I did have to Blue loctite the nut to keep them in place. I have tons of clearance now lol
