I also have another one that I plan on building with a aluminum roll cage that will be for hill climbing comps. It will use a HPI vorza Motor mount and the center diff insted of a trans. I built the system my self and there isn't anything like it.

I might have to use a wider stance with this body. If that is the case then I'll slapping down 160.00 and going to buy wheels and tires from RC4WD. Very Scale looking!!!!!

I like these wheels and tires. the wheels and plastic so ther light weight and tough. The Mickey Thompson 40 Series 3.8" Baja MTZ Scale Tires look like they would work well also.

So what's in the future? How about a Carbon fiber pan, Rock sliders, 30mm off the bottom of the bady and roll cage, a pair of 6" led lights, A warn winch, custom bumpers Rc4wd 3.8 wheel with wide offset pictured above, Interior with drivers, rear lights, new RPM arms dyed green and custom body pannels painted lime metalic green.

Sweet build. that looks like a lot of fun. You working on a battery holder for this beast? One bad crash and you will be throwing lipo grenades across the street

The Summit is already a good match for the Yeti XL. There's no need to make it larger.

From a performance stand point it is. BUT... is is way to square of a wheel base to ever be scale. It's hard to make them scale unless you use shorte arms and that take away performance or you stretch is and add performance. Also they just look cool at that size. When the Yeti body comes out I will build the 18.5'' wheel based summit with performance in mind. It will blow your sock off I'm also adding a Hitec HS-5755MG servo to the steering and so other cool one off trick to make it out perform the summit also. some of those tricks are already done like the chassis mounted Motor Mountand the Robinson racing slipper chutch. E-revo diff gears and 24mm whell hubs to run the 1/5 beadlock rims and tires. That will mean more when you see it run with paddles on.
It's the middle servo.

I know that traxxas will never build anything that is like my revo/summit builds and that is fine. They have a great product that will stand up to the yeti. I'm just tired of the not so scale look of the summit and the revo.

So these show the monster servo to turn the 7.55'' tires and also shows the summit 2 speed trans in place.

You're thinking about it wrong. The Summit is not a horribly off-scale 1:8 trail truck, it's a spot-on 1:1 Summit. They didn't build it to look scale because physics doesn't scale -- they built the Summit to work well at its actual size, instead of making it look like a miniature version of a larger vehicle and accepting all of the performance tradeoffs inherent in that. Most of Traxxas' customer base would be annoyed if Traxxas had made the Summit less fun just so it could look scale-accurate to a full-size trail truck. The Summit can drive over rocks half as tall as itself, and that's the point.
