Default TRX 4 with Amazon Dig Transmission

Howdy folks,
I've been wanting to add a dig transmission to my custom TRX Based 8x8 built last year.
But before tearing that beast apart, I wanted to see if I could install the Amazon 3-gear dig tranny in a TRX 4/6/8 chassis. This one: https://www.amazon.com/Que-T-Aluminu...7-93deae8f9840

That transmission is of course meant to mount on an Axial SCX10 II skid so the first order of business was to design a custom skid it that would fit the Traxxas rails. I've been learning CAD over the past few months and can now design basic parts like this:

It took 4 iterations to get everything right, but it was a fun process. All the stock links mount right up. This was printed in carbon fiber reinforced PTEG for durability btw.

Only the the front lower link needed to be mounted directly to the chassis rails using and 8mm spacer.

This tranny sits further back than the stock one so no room for the stock battery tray. I drew up and printed a simple tray for the rear, but if you wanted a more forward C of G Traxxas front inner fenders and forward battery mount could be installed. This is a trail truck, so I don't really care

Here's a prototype in cheaper white PLA.

Final battery tray was printed in carbon fiber reinforced PLA and it mounts directly to the two holes in the stock chassis cross brace.

Here's video of it in action: https://youtube.com/shorts/lT49TNYc6fo?feature=share

So, what do ya'll think?? Anyone else want/need a dig for their TRX4??

Thanks KD! Learning CAD and having a 3D printer opens up a whole new world of customization possibilities. I've received the newly designed 8x8 chassis rails from Send-Cut-Send and once done with my move to Gainesville, FL will start on that build. Here's a mock up I did to see if everything lined up.
