Jurassic park Build on the chassis kit TRX4? I picked up and built the TRX4 chassis kit. It does not come with a body so i had an idea to do a yj jeep wranger done up like the ones in the original jurassic park movie. I was wondering if there are any resources to do this. I have not located a body that would fit or propper sized decals. the closest i have found to a body is one by tamiya but i believe the wheel base is different. Any links or help or resources would be greatly apreciated. i am new to rock crawling and scale builds but not new to rc in general.8) |

Hard part is finding the body you are looking for to fit the TRX chassis. The closest thing I can think of is the 2 door Jeep Wrangler from Proline. Problem is the length of the chassis rails. When going with a short wheelbase body on TRX the rails like to stick out the back sometimes. I am finishing up a JK Axial body and had to do some work to the front and rear of the chassis rails (I do have a build thread here on it). Knowing what I know now I wouldn't have used the TRX chassis for that body it was just such a pain. Proline makes a 4 door JK for the TRX but you will need to change the rear links to fit the body. I have seen several Jeep Cherokee done up with the Jurassic Park which looked very nice. The Axial Cherokee is almost a perfect fit for the 12.3 wheelbase (also have a build thread on that also for a TRX) |

I searched ebay and wqs only able to locate atickers for whqt seemed to be replavements for old toys. I will be checking out both your threads for some good research. I found this body. I think the wheelbase is not compatible though. Tamiya - Rc Body 58141 Jeep Wrangler Yj - 9335171 - Active Powersports Incase someone comes across this post looking for info such as i did. Re: Jurassic park Build on the chassis kit TRX4? If your wanting a general idea of how the Tamiya Jeep YJ body fits on the trx4, you can take a look at my build feed. It will give you some idea of what you might be dealing with. http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/traxx...eep-truck.html |

Re: Jurassic park Build on the chassis kit TRX4? Still not a YJ but it can point you in the right direction If you can find a local vinyl decal shop they might be able to print you logo and just paint in the red "thumbsup" |
Re: Jurassic park Build on the chassis kit TRX4? i still have to use my dremel and clean up the cut lines. I am thinking about using the shock towers that delete the fenders. Good or bad idea? |
Re: Jurassic park Build on the chassis kit TRX4? I like the fenders because of the front battery tray, they hide the inners, and you get some protection from it. I’d suggest to trim them to fit. |
