TRX4 Sport kit This popped up on the new items at RPP https://www.rpphobby.com/product_p/tra82010-4.htm https://i.imgur.com/9qzoBWll.jpg https://i.imgur.com/wVNdVQKl.jpg https://i.imgur.com/h7aBnh1l.jpg |
Re: TRX4 Sport kit Heck yeah!! Awesome. Great deal with the body. Nice way to compromise a competitive price and still having value by ditching the electronics. And the body comes with some accessories (rack, fuel cans, boards) and light buckets! |
Re: TRX4 Sport kit It would appear that Traxxas is listening to us and releasing what we want. |
Re: TRX4 Sport kit Sweet! No electronics to yank out. I think they'd really hit the sweet spot if that also came without the body and scale accessories or even a version with just the body. They're so close to what we all expect in a kit (the basics, no electronics and no body). |

Re: TRX4 Sport kit Axial who? Traxxas is killin' it with their first platform in the crawling scene!"thumbsup" |

Re: TRX4 Sport kit If I could get that without the body and all of the scale accessories, I'd be on that like white on rice. |
Re: TRX4 Sport kit Yes! Came here to post this and I was beat by a Ford! :lmao: Can't wait for this! |
Re: TRX4 Sport kit I'll be all over this! This is awesome, no electronics to get rid of!"thumbsup" |
Re: TRX4 Sport kit Heck yeah! Just seen this. Definantly wanna pick one of these up. If i get one, i foresee the body bein painted bright green lol. Thats my sons fav color. Thatd give him an extra body for his crawler. Nice job traxxas! Sent from my SM-J327VPP using Tapatalk |
Re: TRX4 Sport kit Sweet! Traxxas has finally put out a kit that we all have been looking for. Even at $280, this is by far the best deal compared to the other "builder's kits" that are on the market now. I have never been a huge Traxxas fan, but IMO the TRX-4 is the best crawler right out of the box. I bought the first TRX-4 Kit last year and have fallen in love with it. I think with this kit release it will be hard for the rest of the competition to match the quality, durability and options that this comes with. It looks like Traxxas has taken the lead and they are not looking back! |
Re: TRX4 Sport kit Yes! I will be getting this! I gotta believe all the kits being released from various brands had a hand in blessing us with this. When there's healthy competition, there's options! |
Re: TRX4 Sport kit I like the whole kit and caboodle. I was thinking of getting a Sport RTR + Expedition package, then eventually getting a clear body to paint and replace the stocker, but this looks way better and cheaper! Funny thing is, I still have a Bronco slider chassis I got off eBay last year, which I still haven’t built up. Maybe I should just use it, or sell it, because I sort of loath the idea of sourcing a handful of servos and figuring out how to get them all configured. 🤦🏼 |
Re: TRX4 Sport kit No idea if these are real, but if they are I'm in love! https://scontent-lga3-1.xx.fbcdn.net...10&oe=5D1D244F https://scontent-lga3-1.xx.fbcdn.net...b9&oe=5D1C91EB |

Oh, and I beat you on posting this by 2 minutes. This is what it must feel like being Frank211. :lmao: http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/traxx...vy-blazer.html |
Re: TRX4 Sport kit Quote:
Any word on when it’ll be available? |
Re: TRX4 Sport kit Quote:
Also I'm brand agnostic. I believe that Ford is a good brand that has made many fine vehicles over the years but they are not blessed and not the savior of auto-kind. :lmao: |
Re: TRX4 Sport kit Quote:
Same here. I'm a Chevy fan, but Ford made some awesome vehicles over the years and their current trucks (Raptor) are better looking than the Chevys. |

Re: TRX4 Sport kit Has anyone heard any more about the release of the TRX4 Mercedes G-Wagon? Just wonder if Traxxas is planning to release both the K5 and the G-Wagon. Does anyone know if the the Blazer shown at the Nuremberg Toy show? |
Re: TRX4 Sport kit Quote:
But I do want my second TRX-4 to be more performance oriented like the Sport. So I'm still torn. :lmao: Quote:

Re: TRX4 Sport kit having not had one, does anyone 3d print grill etc for this sport body to make it more resemble a real world truck? I could go for this kit if I could massage it a little to make it resemble a real world truck I think. But at 270, I think one could sell the body and wheels and tires and recoup another to cover a new body, and I have plenty of wheels and tires around. How wide are these? This thing is calling for a proline comanche body with those scale accessories. |
Re: TRX4 Sport kit Quote:
Traxxas is now offering both a front and rear molded plastic light panels for the Sport body. Headlight/grill: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Traxxas-811...S!-1:rk:1:pf:0 Taillight panel: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Tailgate-pa...2VF:rk:16:pf:0 That said, the new Sport kit appears to include these Sport body light bits along with other add on parts. |
Re: TRX4 Sport kit Quote:
I don't know what you could make it into since it is so generic. Squint really hard and pretend it is a 2014 Ford Ranger from another part of the world? https://carimages.com.au/WVuFz-AUgf1...0-R63747-1.jpg |

Re: TRX4 Sport kit Quote:
I feel ya on being torn, although I'm in a slightly different scenario. I think if I really was drawn to the Blazer I'd see that as a great addition to my collection, because it does look good, especially that orange/white one. |

We actually just took delivery of our first 19 ranger this past week at the lot, now you have me thinking. |
Re: TRX4 Sport kit Omg I literally just bought the sport rtr and pulled all electronics off of it.. Just my luck smdh |
Re: TRX4 Sport kit Quote:
I'm currently wondering if the Sport platform is better than the HPI Venture, because, if it is, I'll sell mine and get the Sport kit. I do know there's much more aftermarket for the TRX-4, already. I just don't need a bunch of single-speed scalers, but I like the Sport body & accessories. |
Re: TRX4 Sport kit my local dealer should have his Blazer demo tomorrow, I'm thinking about getting it after the demo period is over |

Re: TRX4 Sport kit Can anyone confirm whether this kit has 12.3 or 12.8 wheelbase? |
Re: TRX4 Sport kit Its 12.3. Specs on traxxas site show it bein 1mm shorter than the bronco Sent from my SM-J327VPP using Tapatalk |
Re: TRX4 Sport kit Quote:
I can't see it on the Traxxas website. They've only got the Kit with electrics. |
