Default 11.8 vs 12.3 vs 12.8 wheelbase (300/312/324)

I’ll be building the Kit and concisdering build and body options. What are your thoughts about the various wheelbases and how they perform under various conditions:
-Trail
-Crawling
-Bashing

From what I’ve read they all do well. Conditions certainly dictate what does better where. I’m aware of the general principals but interested to hear how the TRX4 actually performs at various lengths.

Im leaning towards 12.3 but all the same curious if any have multiple wheelbases they can comment on what the like and don’t like about each.

Coincidentally, just last night, I was looking over the official page for the TRX-4 Blazer when I noticed that the wheelbase could go as short as 300mm(11.8”), and that got me thinking about the Pro-Line 2009 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon body(2 Door), which I have in storage. I happen to also have a Bronco slider, stuffed in a box, and could make that happen, but was going to start with a Axial Cherokee XJ body. Maybe I’ll get another TRX-4!

Sorry that I wasn’t helpful.

Yes, that is one body I’m looking at.

What comes first: body (looks) or performance (wheelbase)? It seems possible to have both with this system.

I too am wondering about the performance of these different wheelbases. Anyone? Also, as I just posted, I am trying to figure out what links I need to get to 300 mm.

Thanks!

Performance: its a trade off. Some things are better, some are worse. With 300mm you suspension travel is reduced and you get hung up on some things. Turing is better.

The bigger issue is getting bodies and parts to make it work. For 300mm you can just cut your links. I didn't want to do anything destructive or buy more parts. I just punted and got the Sport body! I actually like it and its ready to go, no mods needed.
