Sport Overdrive Question I'm building a TRX-4 Sport kit. As I'm building it, should I install overdrive gears or just leave it stock. This truck is a pure crawler, no trailing. Sent from my LM-G710VM using Tapatalk |

I put OD in the front and UD in the rear of my Sport and it's a trail truck. |

On NYE, I noticed my TRX-4 Sport was bouncing on a rock during a climb. OSRC said he noticed one of his trucks started hopping when he installed both OD and UD gears so it's something to keep an eye out for. It's a very interesting observation! |
Re: Sport Overdrive Question Just had OD installed.... with the wheels turning at different speeds and great traction, you can certainly get some hop while climbing. |

It made complete sense when you said it. Quote:

Don't overthink it. As I stated, just install it and try it out. That's the only way you'll know for sure if it works for you. "thumbsup" |
Re: Sport Overdrive Question If its a trail truck then sorely by oud get a lot of tire scrub/wear through different rotational speeds? |

I'd say yes if you've never used OD gears before. |

Re: Sport Overdrive Question Awesome sauce! Thanks for the quick reply gentleman. I'll drive it stock first as I don't know anyone with a stock truck, then I'll throw the OD gears in so I can tell the difference. Sent from my LM-G710VM using Tapatalk |

Cool. It's not all that difficult to change anyway. It'll be interesting to see what you think. Just pay close attention to the behalf of the truck. Also, make sure you test both setups out on the same obstacles. |
Re: Sport Overdrive Question I recently installed the underdrive ring and pinion in my rear diff. I am pleased with the performance results so far. |
