| VS4-10 Pro - Our First Build....
Finally moved away from the RTR Crawlers... Will never go back! What a great father son project. Such a fun build, even for a newbie. For those who might also be considering a VS4 for your new build, these are the parts/options we went with: Wheels Tires Shocks: ~Pro-Line Hyrax 1.9" Rock Crawler Tires (Predator) ~Pro-Line 1.9" XL Dual Stage Rock Crawling Foam Inserts ~Pro-Line Pro-Spec Scaler Shocks (90mm-95mm) ~Injora 1.9" Wheel Rim for 1/10 RC Crawler Electronics Motor ESC: ~Hobbywing AXE 540L R2-FOC Waterproof Sensored Brushless Combo w/2800Kv Motor ~ProTek RC 370TBL "Black Label" Waterproof High Torque Brushless Crawler Servo (High Voltage) ~Spektrum RC SR6100AT 6-Channel 2.4GHz DSMR Surface Receiver w/Telemetry ~ProTek RC 3S 90C Si-Graphene + HV LiPo Battery w/XT60 Connector (11.4V/1800mAh) For backyard fun. ~Gens Ace Adventure 3S 50C LiHV Battery Pack (11.4V/3600mAh) For the longer day trips. Accessories: ~My Trick RC Vanquish VS4-10 Light Kit + add'l rock lights ~Powershift RC Technologies PST-250 Servo Winch ~eBay Stainless Steel Rear Compartment Panel (not shown in pictures) ~2nd Halfcab shell. One for bashing (shown). One for our vacationing and garage (in the works). Note of 30 Days of Use: We added more lights for function. We hit the backyard occasionally at night and found the extra lights to be a welcomed addition. The only regrets I have is spending the money on a full functioning winch. Yes, its bad ass and great to show off, but really? Never used. We are EXTREMELY happy with the Pro-Line Hyrax (Predator Compound). Wow! great tire for our location and backyard setup. Also love the Axe motor. If you really want to crawl, this is the motor! |

Nice looking Pro. I'm still working on finishing mine. How do you like the light kit? I'm thinking of getting it as well.

Thanks. I love the light kit. Tied the brake lights to the throttle control. Headlights and rock lights triggered (rotating) via aux channel to my radio which is awesome. Rotating Light Programs: All lights off Headlights (brightness level 1) and Taillights Headlights (brightness level 2) and Taillights Headlights + Rocklights (brightness level 3) and Taillights Posted the brightness pics below. Super bright! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk | |

Yes, that’s the kit. Some updates/changes I made: The “attack rock light pods” that come with the kit are too big and bulky to mount on the chassis (for my taste). So I removed them, and I am now trying something different with them. I stacked and zap glued them (2 pairs) behind my 2nd half cab shell. Hidden light bar. Haven’t tested them out yet, but I think they will be awesome. I’ll add a pic below. In the above pictures though, For the rock lights, I used these instead. They are Smaller and cleaner look (from the exterior). I drilled small holes in the wheel wells And zap glued them on. https://www.mytrickrc.com/shop/traxx...4-rock-lights/ Here is the picture of the stacked rock pods I’m playing with.... That's killer looking paint!! And I agree that the My Trick RC is the way to go for lighting. I've got three of the DG-1 controllers for my rigs.
