I'm not sure if anyone has. You would need some kind of adapter for the driveshafts maybe. I know this is a Wraith, but I guess it would be a similar way to go. http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/vater...enderaith.html |

You'd use vaterra drive shafts too... They use grub screws usually, but you can swap them out for the grub pin. And fit to your scx10 gbox Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

Yes, I'd use the HD Vaterra driveshafts, they are much nicer and the way they attach to pinion gear makes better driveline angles and better ground clearance. | ||

I know 'the scaler store' stock the parts to convert the vaterra ascender axles to run normal shafts like the scx-10 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

| Re: Vaterra ascender axles on scx10 Yes, but you don't need to use adapters, just use the two grub screws to attach Ascender driveshafts to Axial etc. tranny. That's how we did it back when crawling first started and it works great, just Loctite the two screws as usual and all good. The tranny outputs and pinions without through-holes are actually stronger, and you don't need to spend money on adapters, spend it on trail snacks or new shocks etc. instead. |

I fully understand your point...the conversation makes using upgraded driveshafts a option though Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Yes, it's a nice option. MIP's are another option, and the two splined male and female peices can fit together even though the 'u-joint' ends are different, making even more axle and transmission swap possibilities. http://www.horizonhobby.com/x-duty-c...der-p-mip14295 Last edited by Natedog; 07-21-2015 at 12:31 PM. |
