Default Stock tires and 1.9 tire/wheel questions

the stock tires dont fit my rc4wd or axial beadlocks. What beadlocks work with these? anyone have a link to a beadlock compatibility guide or chart?

The Twin Hammer bead locks will work with those. They have a huge bead.

I used Gearhead Trail King Wheels, the stock tires fitted really good.

I used a set of Vanquish inner rings for mounting the stock tires on to a set of RC4WD wheels.

I have the stock tires on the rc4wd racelines. Used a couple longer screws to get them started, but mounted up fine.

I've had them mounted on Axial beadlocks, Proline Titus beadlocks and Gmade sr02 beadlocks. Out of them all the Gmade's were the easiest, then the Proline's and then the Axial's. Have a look through this thread, I've posted some pictures in there of the tyres on those wheels Vaterra TSL pics and impressions

The bead is so thick i just cant seem to get it into the lip for the axial beadlocks. My Axial ripsaws have much thinner beads. RC4ZW0130, again thickness of the bead makes it impossible.

Vaterra TSL pics and impressions good read, seems like im not the only one

"Same issues as the bigger TSL's and the Race Claws. Very thick bead makes it all but impossible to seat on most rims. I unmounted my Race Claws and installed these instead - they drop right on the Vaterra rims of course. I tried 2 kinds of steelies (RC4WD and HR), a set of Integy's, and good old 8 hole Axial's - they were close, but didn't push it." -OSRC

pobrockcrawler you must be some kind of wizard to get these things on axial 8 hole beadlocks, pics or it didnt happen lol

I can make wheels with wider bead grooves to fit the Vaterra tires, as well as regroove just about any traditional beadlock.

The stock tires are pretty good IMO. I siped and cut some of the lugs on mine.

You sir are a wizard. Are those the stock outer rings on those axial beadlocks? I should have looked closer at your thread. I'll try the patience method.

How do you regroove a beadlock?

Put it in a lathe and cut the groove a bit wider or deeper.

Ok so apparently patience pays off...

pobrockcrawler, thanks for the support man!

All last night I was trying to use my fingers to get the tire bead seated into the wheels bead lip, then try to use the ring. But what worked for me is get the tire bead lined up with the lip, then use the ring to seat the bead incrementally!

Here are the pics.
Yes they are the VPS05252 inner clamp rings.

I used them on a set of RC4WD 6 lug wagon wheels.
I also used the hex adaptor for the RC4WD wheels instead of the pin adaptors.
Worked out fine.

Nice! I have the same wheels in black. Also have the hex adapters. After messing with them a bit more I can get the tires to mount if I use a longer screw to get them started. However I know I am cranking the bead down REALLY tight. I am reluctant to tighten them all the way down. Think I could damage the bead this way?

Thought I was getting into these wheels for 50 bucks. But after buying the wheels, realizing I needed the hex adapters, then maybe buying the vanq rings... I could have looked at wheels in the 80-100$ range.
